Long borders with herbaceous perennials
Long border with repeat planting of Rudbeckia and Nepeta flowering late into the autumn.
To enhance the approach to the front of the property while retaining the views across the lawn and landscape beyond. This included rejuvenating a long walled border.
Two new planting beds either side of the large Willow tree help to create a sense of enclosure to the curved drive. The beds are planted with evergreen structure of Box balls, spring flowering plants and grasses. Along the walled border, three new large planting beds line the wide path to created a pathway through planting. An avenue of flowering cherry trees adds height while large blocks of herbaceous planting provide bold colours throughout the year. A mass of daffodils are planted in the margins of the large lawn, which are followed by leaving the meadow grass in this area to grow long during the summer.
