Architectural Red Cedar cladding in Notting Hill garden
Red Cedar timber slats are used throughout the design, including the storage cupboards and pizza oven. The storage has a green Sedum roof.
The property is a recently refurbished town house, backing onto a London private square garden. In collaboration with the architect, the ethos of the contemporary interior was followed through into the garden. The Clients wanted massed planting with a path leading to the communal garden.
The interior limestone flooring is continued outside to create a stylish dining space. Red Cedar slats are used for both cladding the exterior walls and for the meandering path leading to the garden gate. One large planting area is filled with tall grasses, Lavender, Rosemary and Geraniums and a sculptural multi-stemmed Amelanchier lamarckii as the key specimen, blending with the backdrop of mature trees.
