Brief: The property is a recently refurbished town house, backing onto a London private square garden.
In collaboration with the architect, the ethos of the contemporary interior was followed through into the garden. The Clients’ requirements were for a path through extensive planting to lead to the main garden.
Design: The interior limestone flooring is continued outside to create a stylish dining space. The exterior walls are clad with horizontal red cedar trellis, and the same material is repeated in the random style path that leads to the back gate.
Tall grasses, Lavender, Rosemary and a multi-stemmed Amelanchier soften the hardlandscaping and blend with the backdrop of mature trees.
