Brief: To maximise the usable space of this small garden combining areas for sitting and outdoor eating with plenty of planting. The client, who loves bright colours, wanted plants that provide good strong seasonal colour and year round interest.
Design: The introduction of raised planters and a split level hardwood deck create a level change, adding interest to the garden, while directional hardwood decking helps to provide a sense of movement and the garden appears larger. Strong colour is introduced with Pink garden furniture and flowering herbaceous plants in reds, oranges, purples and blues.
